Annual General Meeting

Registration: Complete via email by January 19th, 2021 @ noon
Meeting starts at: 7:00 p.m.
Note: Due to the nature of the online meeting we will require the registration of members via email to adminassist@fcregina.com by January 19, 2021 @ noon. This will allow staff to provide members with the meeting login information and set up the online voting mechanism for election of directors.
The Regina Soccer Association, Operators of Futbol Club Regina, continues to evolve to reflect the needs of our members.
We are looking for knowledgeable people who have the personal experience or professional affiliation to further advance changes in our organization by joining our Board of Directors. For 2021, there are five volunteer positions open for members who have the time and ability to contribute in a positive and professional manner.
Nominees must be members of FCR and must meet eligibility requirements.
Nomination documents are included. Please forward this information to anyone who may have an interest in contributing to the Board of Directors, the Regina Soccer Association, and the growth of our soccer community. Nominations close at Noon on January 4, 2021.

The Organization
The RSA, Operators of FC Regina, are dedicated to developing and growing the sport of soccer in the City of Regina through innovative policies, quality programs, financial stability, and access to suitable facilities. The primary objectives are to promote participation, enhance development, and provide programs at all age and skill levels.
The RSA has a governance model that consists of nine (9) Directors: two (2) elected
representatives of the Youth membership, two (2) elected representatives of the Adult membership, one (1) Member at Large and four (4) elected Officers of the Association.

The Board of Directors of the RSA is seeking nominations to the Board to fill positions that are open due to the expiration of election terms or resignation of sitting members.

QUALIFICATION
All directors must:
- be a Member;
- submit to and provide evidence of a clean criminal records check with vulnerable sector authentication satisfactory to the
Directors cannot:
- also be an employee of the Association;
- have a spouse, common law partner or immediate family member who is currently a director or employee of the
Additional Qualifications
President - must have served one (1) complete year on the Board;
Vice President - must have served one (1) complete year on the Board; - is not required to have served one (1) complete year on the board.
Youth Member Rep - must be a parent or coach of a youth player or team
Adult Member Rep - must be a player or coach in the adult league
Member at Large - must be a player, parent of a youth player, or coach
The nomination deadline is January 4, 2021, at Noon. All nominations must be presented to
and confirmed by the current Board. The final slate of nominees, along with submitted nomination information, will be posted on the FCR website at least two weeks before the AGM on January 20, 2021.
Recruitment/Nomination Process
Board of Director candidates must understand the extent of their commitment and confirm their intent to accept their nomination. Unsuccessful candidates are encouraged to let their name stand for participation in committees of the Board.
The RSA strives for a diverse and knowledgeable Board of Directors. We strongly encourage members from different ethnic groups, genders, and cultures to put their names forward as nominees.

A completed Nomination Form must be received by the RSA Office Staff before Noon PM on
Monday, January 4th, 2021.
