Futbol Club Regina is Saskatchewan’s largest non-profit soccer club that offers both recreational and elite soccer programs to both youth and adult players. The club operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors, with paid administrative and technical staff and takes great pride in the high professional and business ethics under which it operates. While our club runs under the direction of the dedicated volunteer Board of directors the day-to-day operations are over seen by our Executive Director TJ Singh and all technical aspects are overseen by Kevin Holness. Kevin brings with him his love of the game and many years of being a professional player as well as coaching many teams throughout the years.
Futbol Club Regina is a non-profit soccer club established in 2014 with the merger of several long-standing clubs in Regina. The Club is proud of its “Soccer for Life” approach to providing opportunities for soccer participation in our community. We strive to instill a lasting love and support for the game by offering quality programming across a wide variety of ages and abilities - from youth to adult/masters and from the grassroots level to the elite. FCR strongly supports long term player development and is committed to guiding its athletes through each step as they chart their course along the FC Regina and Canada Soccer player pathways.
We work hard to make sure when our athlete’s graduate from the Youth program if they choose, they are ready to continue on in the sport with The Canada Soccer pathway or they are welcomed into our Men’s, Women’s and Co-ed divisions and later in life able to continue to play in our Master’s divisions thus creating a true “Soccer for Life” athlete. Many of our players have gone on to further their education and careers at both colleges and universities in both Canada, and abroad.
Our club is committed to excellence and is guided by the following principles and philosophies:
Over 200 volunteers are involved in many aspects of our club from coaches, managers and committee members. The club invests in the education of our coaches and referees each year by providing coaching courses and mentoring for the referees to further their knowledge of the game.
Vision:
The Regina community is built on its enjoyment of soccer.
Mission:
To help people become their best through positive soccer experiences.
Values:
Fun: FC Regina Strategic Plan 2024-28 We are committed to making everything at our club fun, from playing soccer, to coaching, volunteering or spectating. We believe that a smile on a face is more important than a trophy or cup and that fun is central to the healthy development and happiness of people of all ages and backgrounds.
Inclusivity: We believe everyone in the Regina area is welcome and has a right to participate in our programs and activities. We believe a diverse, multi-cultural club creates a stronger experience for everyone.
Honesty: We believe being honest is fundamental to everything we do and is the foundation of integrity in our people. In being honest, we are not afraid to admit to and own our mistakes, to be accountable for our decisions, and to openly disclose our conflicts of interest.
Unity: We see all elements of our club are of equal importance. We see ourselves as one club, with one voice, bound by a single vision of building Regina’s community based on its enjoyment of soccer.
Integrity: We believe that what we choose to do when no-one is watching is foundational to the concept of integrity, as is being honest and accountable in our actions. We understand that our success is ultimately bound by our individuals’ actions and the choices we make.
Master Goal: By the end of 2028, participants rate their overall enjoyment of their FC Regina experiences at 80% or more.
