Adult Soccer


 Team registration for the 2021 Outdoor Season presented by Sperling Silver will be open from Saturday, April 24th until Friday May 12th.  To help with planning, please get your registration submitted at your earliest convenience.  Player registration is also open.  If you need assistance recruiting players please visit the FC Regina Facebook page or send an email to adult@fcregina.com.

 

We are gearing up for a May 24th kick off to the season.  All the information is pending by Saskatchewan Health Authority, Saskatchewan Soccer Association, and Canada Soccer Guidelines.  We will make amendments to dates, formats, and league rules as necessary to remain in compliance with all restrictions.  We will send out an update communication on May 12th to advise whether we are permitted to go ahead with our May 24th start date, or we will need to push back the date. 

 

We will have access to time at the indoor facility and will be utilizing this through out the outdoor season on top of our regular venues.

 

Our intention is to run the leagues as close to normal as possible.  If permitted, we will allow throw ins and headers for all divisions.  Slide tackles will be allowed in Men’s and Women’s.  As usual, there will be no slide tackling in Coed.  There will be no offsides in any adult league/division.

 

Minimum Roster for all leagues will be 11 players.  We will only impose a maximum roster size if we are required to in order to keep leagues within restricted numbers as per SHA Guidelines.

 

 

Previously registration fees were set for Divisions 1-6 for Men’s and Coed, Division 1-3 for Women’s.  Our Adult Liaison Committee has opted to offer Men’s, Women’s and Coed in Competitive, Intermediate, and Recreation.   The fees will be amended as follows:

All Men’s, Women’s, and Coed Divisions will play 8v8 on half field.  We will play 2 - 25-minute halves with a 3-5 minute half-time.

 

At the time of registration, we will only collect $50.  If the season were to be cancelled prior to the start of the season this fee would be fully refunded. 

 

Players who have Club Credits can submit the Club Credit Request Form to adult@fcregina.com.  I can then apply the credit to the remaining registration balance.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. 

 

If restrictions allow, it is our intention to allow players to register in multiple leagues (for example, players would be eligible to register in both Men’s or Women’s and Coed).  At this time, guest playing will not be permitted.

 

Please make note of the Important Dates

  • Saturday April 24th - Team Registration Available
  • Saturday April 24th - Player Registration Opens
  • Friday May 14th - Last day to declare a team
  • Friday May 14th - Scheduling request deadline
  • Friday May 14th -- Roster Requirement deadline - 7 players
  • Friday May 14th - Any teams that withdraw after 12:00pm will be subject to a $300.00 fine to the team manager.
  • Monday May 17th - Men’s & Women’s schedules released.
  • Wednesday May 19th - Adult Managers Meeting for all Leagues by Zoom 7:45 PM
  • Friday May 21st - Coed schedule released
  • Friday May 21st - Roster requirement deadline - 11 players
  • Monday May 24th - Men’s and Women’s season begins
  • Friday May 28th - Coed season begins.
  • Monday June 28th - Prorated Registration begins.
  • Thursday July 1st - 2nd Installment Payment Due This option is only available for players who are setting up online payments. This will be taken from the same method of payment that is used for the first installment.
  • Friday July 31st by 3:30 p.m. - Last day to register on a team, transfer to a team, request a refund, or request to reschedule a game for the 2021 Outdoor Season.
  • Friday August 27th - Sunday August 29th - Co-Ed Playoffs
  • Monday August 23rd Adult Men’s & Women’s playoffs begin. It is FCR’s intention to end by September 2nd. In the event of inclement weather through out the season we will attempt to reschedule games as quickly as possible to allow for the season to finish on time.

 

With the number of games that we fit in to the league we will have regular league play during all long weekends. If there is a specific weekend(s) your team needs off, please submit a scheduling request with reasons by noon before Monday May 12th in writing to adult@fcregina.com. Not all requests are guaranteed but we will do our very best to accommodate everyone.
